An educational visit was organized for the students of Class XI (Humanities) to the Grand International Exposition titled “The Light and the Lotus: Relics of the Awakened One” at Raipithora Cultural Complex, Lado Sarai, New Delhi on Thursday, 26th February 2026. The exhibition was organized under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India
The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of history, culture and religion, particularly themes related to Buddhism and ancient Indian heritage.
The exhibition displayed sacred relics associated with the Awakened One (Lord Buddha) and highlighted the historical and spiritual significance of Buddhist philosophy. Students observed rare artifacts and displays that reflected the spread of Buddhism, its cultural impact, and its continued relevance in contemporary society.
The visit provided students with experiential learning and helped them connect classroom concepts of History and Political Science with tangible heritage and archaeological evidence. The interactive displays and detailed explanations encouraged critical thinking and meaningful discussions among students.
Overall, the visit was highly informative and enriching. It fostered cultural awareness, appreciation of India’s rich heritage, and a deeper understanding of the values of peace and compassion propagated by Lord Buddha.
We express our gratitude to our respected Principal, Ms. Shalini Agarwal for organizing such an engaging and informative experience that broadened the students’ learning beyond textbooks
